Dark and Demure

This look is dramatic but so perfect for a night on the town! Sometimes all you need is a little drama.. the good kind!

This look takes a little more effort than the last one we posted, but so worth it! Make those eyes pop and those lips pucker!

Firstly, I ALWAYS start with slight contouring. I love the shape and dimension it ads to my facial structure! This palette is our personal Glam Squad palette and can be purchased through us. You start with a lighter shade below your eyes in a triangle shape, the top of your nose, middle forehead, and chin. Blend in with a brush and add a darker shade below your cheek bones (also blending in).

Next, I cover my entire face with foundation. We use Denair, which can be purchased online for a pretty great price. I will always recommend airbrush makeup over traditional foundation any day for any circumstance! The finished look is amazing and nothing else compares! I just went to the beach so I’m shade 35/40 half and half.

Next comes blush. I have searched high and low for the perfect “dark” blush, and I have found this awesome mauve/brick toned blush. It’s called Deep Wine by Maybelline. Apply lightly to cheek bones, adding more if necessary!

Next are the eyes.. Using the original Naked palette, I apply Toasted all over my lids and blend in Hustle from the outer corner into my crease. Next, I apply Fishnet (but you can use any light purple shade, this electric palette is just my favorite go to for vivids) to the inner corners of my eye (bottom and top). Add Creep to the outer lid, blending in deeply over your lid almost to the center as well as in your crease. Line your bottom lid with Creep, blending it with the purple we added earlier. Make sure you use your foundation blending brush to get rid of any fallout! Black shadow can be tricky!

Apply liner.. I use NYX Gel Liner and Smudger in black. I like to smudge my liner with a larger angled brush after so that it’s not so sharp!

After liner, I apply two coats of mascara. Falsies is still my favorite and my go to, ALWAYS!

Finally… Lips! The bold finale to this gorgeous look… I use NYX butter gloss shade COPENHAGEN!
