Monday’s are for Matrimony

November 28, 2016

And I can’t think of a better way to spend my Monday than reminiscing on the beautiful brides that we got ready to say “I do” over the weekend! But more importantly I can’t think of a better weekend to get married than Thanksgiving weekend. While everyone was out in the large crowds and stampedes that defines Black Friday Nora and Nathan stood in front of their friends and family at Celebrations at the Reservoir to profess their love for one another and give thanks for the love that surrounds their life!

I think in any romantic relationship it is extremely important to be best friends first before a couple because the understanding that comes from that friendship makes the romantic aspect ten times better and that’s exactly how it was for Nora and Nathan! The two actually met at work at Restoration Hardware. I would like to imagine the two locking eyes over the throw pillows and fabric swatches and the stars suddenly aligned, but I don’t think that was exactly how it happened (in fact I know it didn’t but of course my imagination runs wild). But that isn’t exactly what happened instead they did something even better, built a friendship.

The two became great friends, hanging out with coworkers and their respective friend groups at first, and gradually their friendship turned into more than that. The group hangouts soon turned into one on one dates as they realized that they always wanted to spend time with one another regardless of it was being out on the town or just relaxing on the couch watching their favorite show Downtown Abbey. They soon went to family gatherings and took trips together and then those events turned into a proposal! But I forgot a very important aspect of their love story…they had a puppy baby (ok maybe not the most important part but maybe the cutest)! This past August Nathan asked the very important question of “Will you Marry Me,” to Nora and the wedding planning went into full swing immediately!

Nora and Nathan both came to the conclusion that they didn’t want to spend anymore time without being husband and wife which is why they wanted the wedding to happen as soon as possible! So after a four month engagement the two said their vows at the Manor House at Celebrations at the Reservoir during a beautiful ceremony.

Nora opted for a beautifully curled updo and natural makeup for her special day. And lucky for her, her stylist was none other than Malory, who leads the Glam Squad Academy students in their lessons! The phrase you don’t actually know it unless you can teach it to someone else definitely applies when it comes to Malory’s amazing hair and makeup abilities and for Nora her artistry for the craft definitely shone through on this very important day.

The Manor House was such a beautiful setting for the two. The elegance of the day definitely couldn’t be denied. The Manor House is a plantation styled home sits over looking the lake perched at the highest point making it have the best view of the entire lake! It was an absolute joy being able to return to Celebrations again (twice in two weeks, we are definitely spoiled) after we were there for a vendor open house for all of the brides that were soon to be wed! Hanging out with some of our other wedding friendors (in this industry we are definitely all friends!) on such a lovely day was a dream come true and it definitely got us excited to be there this past weekend for Nathan and Nora’s wedding. Their love is something definitely something to be thankful for long past Thanksgiving day itself!
