We have been preparing for this Wedding Expo since last year and it finally all came together yesterday! I was absolutely obsessed with our booth! It was clean and crisp and really embodied The Glam Squad! If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Alexis, she is our director of social media and public relations, and well… all of the credit for our booth definitely needs to be given to her! And if you were at the Expo yesterday, I’m sure you saw her running around with a clip board and look of determination on her face or you even got to talk to her at the booth!
We love being able to attend this show every year because it is just such a fun and moving experience! You get to meet hundreds of brides throughout the day, hear about their love stories, and some times we even get to add a few lovely ladies to our Glam Fam right then and there! We were so happy to be able to give them their special welcome presents because each and every bride is a woman that we hold near and dear to our hearts! And that’s something that I am so happy to be able to say about The Glam Squad. Each one of my stylists cares genuinely about the brides and their needs for the day and that is such an important aspect of being a glammie!
We know how much trust brides put into us on the wedding day and we hold ourselves accountable to the absolute highest quality of work! Anything less than perfect isn’t an option! And we even got to show that to some of the brides at the expo! We had Kaitlyn demonstrating some of her famous updo’s and Alex showing off the airbrush machine that is used for airbrush makeup and doing makeup touches! The ladies that have never tried airbrush makeup before fell in love while sitting in the makeup chair! We even told some of them about the Airbrush Workshops that are coming up and now we only have a few seats left open!
And everyone was raving about how stunning the hair and makeup touches looked! All I think was, If they are doing this in 10 minutes or less right now, imagine just how much better they would be when they have 30-40 minutes blocked off for the services! The answer is that they would be one thousand times more amazing than they already are!
It was a day that was filled with so much joy as we were surrounded by Richmond’s bridal community and so many of our friends! We had an amazing view of Flowers Make Scents’ gorgeous booth (they had a wedding dress made out of flowers! Can you talk about talent?!) And we even got to watch our good friend Caroline from Posh PR, MC’d the fashion show which had stunning gowns presented by Tiffany’s Bridal! All I wanted to do was find an excuse to wear one of the gowns! But of course it might have been frowned upon to run up and take it away from the models….
But the fashion show didn’t just show bridal gowns! It featured adorable flower girl dresses (and the little girls each had a doll with a dress that matched their own) a few suits and tuxes for men, and bridesmaids gowns that any woman in the bridal party would be thrilled to wear because well…they were beautiful and definitely not designed to make anyone look ugly (all I an think of are the hideous dresses from the movie Bridesmaids and I’m dying laughing while thinking about it!)
It was such a lovely day, and as always so amazing to be part such a large expo with so many talented people who are just as love obsessed as I am!
If you have any questions about the Airbrush Workshop that I had mentioned or have any questions about The Glam Squad Academy that some of the people who stopped by our booth asked please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would love to help out in anyway!
We can’t wait for the next few bridal expo’s coming up this year! Because this one? Well it was definitely one for the books!
