Wedding Wednesday: Emily

July 5, 2017

It’s been a little while since we’ve had a bridal spotlight on the blog, and I’m very excited to talk about one of the three brides that we had this past weekend. On Saturday Malory and Tiffany headed to Fairview Farm to help get Ashley and her bridal party ready for her big day while Dana was joined by Alexis in the studio to help get Emily ready. Then on Sunday Malory and Kaitlyn entered the Studio for Casey’s wedding and each and everyone of these women were absolutely smitten with their husbands to be!

With all of the weddings this past weekend it was hard to decide just which bride would be the focus of this weeks Wedding Wednesday because they were just all so beautiful, but after seeing the amazing photos that Alexis took in the studio I knew I had to share Emily’s getting ready process with you.

This prep session was a little bit different than what we normally do when it comes to bridal hair and makeup, simply because when Emily came in she had already (legally at least) gotten married that morning! Emily came in at 10:30 to get her hair and makeup done for a ceremony that would be taking place later on in the day this time with all of her and the grooms friends and family present.

The morning was one filled of one pure relaxation as Dana began a light rose gold eye makeup look on the beautiful bride. It was just Dana, Emily, and Alexis in our Studio bridal suite listening to love songs on the speaker system. Emily chatted about how her and husband had met playing tennis for The University of Richmond and their shared passion of the sport sparked into passion for one another.

A little bit later Emily’s mom joined the three of them and helped decide on a hairstyle that would fit Emily the best. The four of them all agreed that a french braid wrapped into a crown around her head was the look that would help Emily feel the most beautiful on her wedding day.

IMG_3411After Dana secured the last bobby pin into place there seemed to be a little something missing from the brides look, which is when they had the idea to place flowers throughout the braid to make a boho esque look for the ceremony. With small white flowers falling through the braid, pink lilies at the back and a soft pink lip finishing the look Emily was ready to say “I do” for the second time that day and solidify the love that both her and her husband share!
