So we love the wedding industry and we love all the people we meet along the way. Some of our FAVORITES are the gals over at Kim Moody Design. Aside from working together in this industry, we are honored to call them friends! Kim and Honey are one of a kind and the team of women behind them are amazing! We wanted to post this mini interview for Kim Moody Design so you too can see how they are set apart from other planners in their field! When you’re done here, head over to their website and check out their services offered. Also, be sure to head out to their studio to check out their awesome store, Trend! You’ll find so many awesome things there, from gifts for your mother-in-law for Christmas, to little trinkets for your bridesmaids they will be sure to remember!

1. What trend or trends do you like that are up and coming or are already here?

Family Style Dining is something we’ve had a TON of requests for lately! It works really well with farm-house table setups, or when receptions are designed with long banquet style tables. We are also getting a lot of requests for Lace linens and a romantic feel!

2. What trend or trends are you glad are gone?

Puffy sleeves on wedding gowns! haha, Just Kidding, that one was a while ago – – We like to do whatever the bride wants for her big day! We adore being able to give feedback and make creative suggestions, but we strive to make it about our clients regardless of what’s trending! 🙂

3. What’s your philosophy with coordinating on the wedding day regarding vendors you know well or are meeting for the 1st time?

We all work as a team with the main goal of successful for the bride and groom! I hear from many of our vendor friends that we are the easiest wedding planning team to work with because we have such a strong work ethic and focus on communicating with vendors and take our role coordinating so seriously! Vendors are a fantastic referral source with us and we get so many leads and referrals from our colleagues in the industry.

4.Is there an ideal number of full-service weddings you’d like to take on every year and why?

At the moment we serve an average of 65 brides a year among our studio of 4 full-time planners. Ideally, we’d love to serve a greater number than we currently do of “full service” brides because we feel that they are always SO successful when we’ve been involved in all of the details and pre-planning. Things are always so smooth when we have had the opportunity to help recommend vendors, be involved in the contract process, and know exactly what the client would like in regards to each decision that has to be made. We generally have about a dozen full planning clients a year and would prefer to increase those ladies so that we can continue to have the detailed level of involvement that we prefer to give our clients! 🙂 Our level of what we provide for each client varies by each wedding. We offer in-house linen rentals, invitations [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][both custom and standard options], event planning, day of coordination, decor rental, event design, setup & pack up for the events themselves, parking services, and fresh flowers for our events, SO every weekend the menu of offerings for each client varies just a little to meet their specific needs. 🙂

5. Considering all your years in the business what are the tried and true marketing and advertising campaigns that have proven to be your best returns?

I think the fact that we focus on customer service above all else, is what gives us our best return. Our client satisfaction rate has been pretty unbelievable over the past decade that we’ve been in business! I think for us that means more than the advertising…. BUT we do have a policy that we do not advertise with any publication that isn’t showcasing our work, our articles, or something special about us….I think we’ve come to far in our industry to just hand someone a check to slap an ad in a book. We are experts in our field, especially in the region, and our advertising mindset follows the same path.

As far as social media is concerned, we love being active on those platforms because we are able to have intereactive exchanges with our clients and their families long after the events are over! [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
