We love, love, love to give shout-outs to our wedding vendor friends. We love networking and thought you, our readers, would as well. We sent a series of questions to some of our favorite vendors and wanted to share our mini interviews here!
This week, we have David Abel Photography. We love David and we love what he does (and we know you will, too!). Here is a look at our interview with him!
-When did you start working in the wedding industry?
I started my business in the winter of 2006 (ancient history).
– Why did you get into the wedding industry?
I actually fell into it, I was asked by a friend in college to shoot her wedding, but once I started I was hooked. It is what gets me up in the morning and keeps me up at night.
-What do you offer brides that makes you stand out among other vendors in your field?
I try to offer meaningful true to life photos beautifully captured with great composition. Offering a great client experience is also very important, I think in the end what it all comes down to is taking care of your couples.
-What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love being present in such a big day for two families. Perhaps the most indelible reason that I love weddings is it has within it every single human emotion encapsulated in one day. You have celebration, loss, melancholy, hope and of course love. Being able to then take what is felt and capture it for a couple is amazing.
-What inspires you when working a wedding?
When a couple or family have complete trust in me and want me to do whatever I think is best I am always inspired to push myself. That trust is a huge thing and I feel so fortunate to have gotten it from so many of my clients.
You can plainly see the passion David has for his job. Though, the way he describes it, it seems more a lifestyle than a ‘job’. Check out his Facebook here and check out these shots from past weddings!
