I think I Wanna Marry You: A Styled Shoot

That Bruno Mars song was the one that kept playing through my head as I walked around the Glam Squad Studio and watched glammies Jane, Mallory, Alex C, Kimmy and Tomeka working on our models for a very important styled shoot with Hayes and Fisk Photography. Our new studio is like our baby and we are always working to improve the space in any way possible. One of those ways was by showcasing that our brides come in all shapes, sizes, and ethnicity.

Something that has always been important to me in this business is to ensure that each and everyone of our brides feels the most beautiful she possibly can on her special day. It is our responsibility to enhance their stunning features while helping them exude the confidence and joy that should be felt on that day which is why it was important for us to put together a styled shoot that showed just that.

We spent about a month or two scouting out models and worked to ensure that each and everyone of them looked different. More often than not, the photos that brides will see are of women that they can’t picture themselves being, while high fashion shoots like those are some of our favorite we wanted every woman who came into the studio or walked past the photos to be able to picture their face with the hair and makeup look pictured on the models. Each one of our models were excited to be a part of this shoot because of the diversity that it was showing.

The models ranged from Indian to Asian, from age 23 to age 39, and from a size 4 to a size 16. Not one of the women were physically the same yet the beauty and confidence that they exuded was incredible to witness. After finishing hair and makeup in the Glam Squad Studio we all drove to the Hayes and Fisk studio for the photography portion with veils and headpieces from Tiffany’s Bridal in tow. Alexis picked out the veils for each model and styled them with their jewelry while Amanda and I took turns placing the veils in the women’s hair. The models then moved over to Jane and Alex who did final touch ups before they were sat in front of Jaimie.

We have seen the proofs of the photos and they are absolutely stunning. Amanda, Alexis and I can’t wait to share the final edits with you very soon! Until then we hope that these behind the scene photos of the day can hold you over until then. And there might even be a behind the scenes video coming up (when I say might there definitely is one and we can’t wait to share that with you as well!)

I have always been a firm believer of showcasing the most beautiful you, that is what I instill into my glammies and that is what the aim was for this photo shoot. And I must say we aimed absolutely perfectly.
