Yes, I know that the title of this blog post is a pun, but it was one that I just could not resist making. Just a few weeks ago we opened up the studio to Kelsey, one of Dana’s destination brides, to host a LuLaRoe pop up shop! If you don’t know what LuLaRoe is, it is a clothing brand that can’t be bought in a store, but is rather sold via consultants of the company similar to Mary Kay. It was started by a woman who wanted to find a way to both work and be at home with her family and thus the business was born. Because of the story of how I started the Glam Squad, I am such a sucker for stories like these and woman who strive to follow their dreams no matter what. 

You may have seen us glammies rocking the LuLaRoe wear with our lipstick leggings and the brand is full of fun and unique patterns just like that one! When Dana, our Cut and Color Specialist asked if Kelsey could use our new studio space for a pop up shop we couldn’t say no.  The event was so much fun and we can’t wait to host more pop up’s in our space.

The first three guests to arrive to the pop up received free “lips and lashes” makeovers from Dana at her chair. Not only was this an opportunity for people to shop, but it was also an opportunity for guests to learn about the salon services we are now offering (Is this news to you? Not only were guests surrounded by pretty clothes to shop from, but they had snacks to eat and were surrounded by hair and makeup. Hair, Makeup, and Shopping all in one place? Lets just say that I was in heaven.

As soon as you walked into the building there was a table full of LuLaRoe’s classic leggings and a rack full of dresses and cardigans. Along with that there were rolling racks full of dresses, skirts, tees and tables of leggings in each and every room. It was so hard to decide on what to buy because each room that you walked into had more clothing than the next!

Not only were there tons of clothes to shop around for, there was a raffle where three people won a pair of free leggings and a special surprise from The Glam Squad!
