Matrimonial Monday: Melissa

July 25, 2016

If anyone could be compared to a ray of sunshine it would be Melissa, a bride that even though I worked with three weeks ago, has been stuck in my head ever since.  I didn’t think it was possible to be so attentive to everyone else’s needs, rather than your own, on your wedding day.  Melissa definitely proved that it was.  You could just tell how happy and excited she was to be marrying the love of her life.  I stood across from her as she told the story of how her friends had blindsided her with meeting her fiancé.

“I didn’t want to meet anyone, and then when I met him… I knew I was going to marry him that night.”  Melissa told Lou and I while we stood across from her in the bridal suite at Celebrations at the Reservoir.

It’s always amazing to watch Lou do what she has wanted to do since she was a little girl, and this day was no different.  Melissa had nothing but compliments to throw our way as she watched Dana do the bridesmaids makeup and Lou twisted and curled Melissa’s hair into a gorgeous up do.

The final touch was a sparkling tiara.  Lou ever so delicately crowned Melissa as a picture perfect bride.  Hayes and Fisk Photography always do a wonderful job and effortlessly captured the essence of Melissa and Bryan’s love.  The only thing that would have made the day better would be getting to witness her walking down the aisle and say “I do,” myself.
