Memoirs of a Glam Squad Intern

July 27, 2016

There are some stark differences between being an intern and being an intern for Lou Stevens Glam Squad.  As an intern, you expect to do the annoying tasks no one wants to do, like fetching coffee, grabbing lunch or filing papers.  That isn’t the kind of work that is encountered when you intern for the Glam Squad.

If we are being completely honest, I expected an experience out of the Devil Wears Prada.  I was absolutely terrified that Lou would be like the evil Meryl Streep.  I definitley never anticipated how caring and kind of a woman Lou is.  Lou is goal oriented and pays attention to detail like no one I’ve ever known.  When you work for someone who is passionate in what they do, that sort of attitude rubs off on you. This business is her baby and everyone in it is treated like family.

The experiences I’ve encountered, while working for Lou, have been more rewarding than I would have expected.  I get to attend weddings, talk to brides, and watch Lou in her element.  Grace works alongside me and her view of the Glam Squad is the exact same.  Traveling with Lou and other Glammies to weddings and styled shoots provides us with the sort of hands on experience that businesses really look for.  There is no place that we would rather have that experience with than Lou and the rest of the ladies in the Glam Squad.

The best part of working for Lou, is that she sees potential and greatness in everyone and is not afraid to let you know.  She is encouraging, gets a little sassy and speaks the truth if needed!  I couldn’t be more proud to call myself her intern and to be a part of the Glam Fam.  Contact The Glam Squad today to see if your wedding date is available!
