Wedding Round Up: October 13th-15th

October 16, 2017

When it comes to the month of October, saying we are busy is an understatement. There’s always something about fall that makes it one of the busiest seasons for the wedding industry, and this year there is no exception! This weekend alone we were off to 11 different wedding locations while the weekend before we had 14 weddings in one day (not to mention the RVA Fall Fashion Show on top of all of that)! I’m telling you, there is truly no exaggeration when I say that there is hardly time left in the day to take a deep breath and relax, but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. What makes the Glam Squad so unique is that it was built upon love. My love for all things hair and makeup, my love for helping the community, and my love for love all on its own, and because of that the busy weekends don’t feel like a chore but rather a reward. And I’m certain all of the Glammies feel the exact same way!

And since this weekend was such a jam packed one, I wanted to take a second to shed a spotlight on some of our amazing brides, the beautiful venues, and the wonderful stylists that helped them get ready for this oh so special day!

The weekend started off on Friday (the thirteenth may I add) with Malory and one of our newest members of the Glam Fam, Khatera, who traveled to the Sheraton Hotel in Reston, Virginia to help Rachelle prepare to walk down the aisle. The two created gorgeous hair and makeup looks on Rachelle and her bridesmaids which set the tone for the rest of the weekend! Saturday began bright and early with of the glammies waking up before 7:00 in the morning to travel to their wedding locations.

Amanda, Janelle, and Billie Jo traveled to Upper Shirley Plantation to spend the day with the lovely bride to be, Amanda. Upper Shirley was the absolute perfect place for Amanda and her new husband to say their “I dos.” Situated right above a bend in the James River it, provided a stunning back drop for the already beautiful couple to profess their love for one another in front of all of their family and friends!

While those girls where busy helping Amanda, Kaitlyn, Kimmy, and Alex were preparing Sarah for her nuptials at the Omni HotelWith Sarah’s bridal party of ten receiving hair and makeup services, plus one extra makeup service it was a team effort that the girls executed amazingly! And Sarah and her bridesmaids looked stunning as they walked down the aisle!

While I wish I could describe every last detail of each wedding that happened this weekend, I’m not sure if it is possible, especially because if I did we would probably be here reading for hours! While Sarah and Amanda were just two of our gorgeous brides, we had so many more all over the city! For example, Dana, Sandy and Ryan spent the day at the John Marshall Hotel helping Mary Ann and her bridal party while I spent the day with Theresa helping her prepare, just to name a few!

While the month of October is in fact, busy, for lack of a better term, it is even more rewarding because of the amount of love we are surrounded by each and every weekend. Plus, who doesn’t love when the leaves start to fall?
