Weekly Wedding Rundown

August 14, 2017

As summer is starting to come to an end, The Glam Squad is preparing for fall and all of the weddings and brides that come with the new season. Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer. You will never see me turn down a day by the pool with an ice cold drink in my hand, but there is just something special about fall weddings and all that come with them! I don’t know if it is the leaves changing color, or the deep maroons that pop up in makeup looks and in color schemes but I have definitely been hit by the fall bug. It definitely doesn’t help that every store you walk into is already prepared for the season, I walked into Kroger yesterday and saw pumpkin spice cheerios, how can you not be excited?!

But I have to put all of my love for fall on hold because our August brides have been absolutely killing it! These past two weekends have been filled with so much beauty and grace that it was a little bit overwhelming.

With five weddings two weekends ago, plus the Diner En Blanc Event it was definitely a busy one. I traveled to Hollyfield Manor with Kimmy to help get our gorgeous bride Brittany ready while some of the other glammies traveled all over to places like The Mill at Fine Creek, to Fairview Farms and even to the Independence Golf Club for the wedding day preparations.

Malory spent the day with our Bride Rachel at the John Marshall Ballroomsand it was a day that Malory said she would never forget as the two bonded over their mutual love for the Avett Brothers (who I love so very much too). Rachel was so calm and filled with a little bit of nervous excitement for her big day. With a beautiful twisted updo, Rachel walked down the aisle to her future husband feeling and looking like the most beautiful bride in the world.

While Malory, Tai, and Keyla spent the day with Rachel and her bridal party, Sandy and Khilia teamed up to help Jessica get ready for her wedding at the Independence Golf Club. Lucky for us the amazing Kathryn Ivy was there to capture the beauty that surrounded Jessica and her Fiance’s wedding ceremony.

What I love so much about The Glam Squad is that we have a team that is so skilled, and so large that we are able to make multiple bride’s dream hair and makeup look come to life. Being able to have a team that can travel all over and meet any bridal party’s need is something that I couldn’t have even pictured in my wildest dreams!
